The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former President, General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.), describing it as a monumental national loss. In a statement by its Spokesperson, Professor Abubakar Jika Jiddere, the Forum paid tribute to Buhari as a towering figure in Nigeria’s political history, whose life was marked by humility, discipline, and incorruptible service.

The forum described General Buhari as a symbol of integrity and principled leadership, resolute in his belief in a united, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria.The Forum extended condolences to the Buhari family, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the nation, praying that Almighty Allah grants the late leader eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
